Urgent Care
URGENT CARE — Sina Medical Direct Primary Care
Urgent Care in Illinois — Same-Day Physician Care, No Copay, No Wait
You woke up with a fever that is not going away. Your child's throat is so sore they cannot swallow. You twisted your ankle at the gym. You have had a UTI building for two days and you need antibiotics today — not in a week when your regular doctor can squeeze you in.
Traditional urgent care clinics charge $150 to $300 per visit, make you wait two hours, and send you home having seen a provider who has never met you and will never see you again. Emergency rooms charge $1,000 to $3,000 for the exact same illnesses that belong in a primary care setting.
- Same-Day & Next-Day Visits
- No Copays, No Insurance Hassle
- Triple Board-Certified Physician
At Sina Medical Direct Primary Care, urgent care is different. It is included in your membership. There is no copay. Same-day appointments are standard, not exceptional. And every sick visit is managed by the same triple board-certified physician who knows your full medical history — Dr. Ali.
This is walk-in quality care with physician-level depth, available the same day across Illinois.
The Problem
Why Traditional Urgent Care Fails Patients
Urgent care clinics and emergency rooms were designed to process volume, not to provide care. When you walk in with an acute illness or injury, the goal is to move you through as quickly as possible — not to evaluate your full medical picture or ensure you fully recover.
Common ways traditional urgent care falls short:
One urgent care visit elsewhere costs the same as a full month of Sina Medical Direct Primary Care membership — which includes unlimited visits, direct physician access, and same-day availability every time.
Meet Our Physician
Dr. Ali is a triple board-certified physician specializing in Internal Medicine, Obesity Medicine, and Lifestyle Medicine. She does not apply generic protocols to acute care. She evaluates your full clinical picture — your current symptoms, your chronic conditions, your medications, your history — and builds the right treatment plan for your specific situation.
When you come to Sina Medical Direct Primary Care with an acute illness or injury, you are not seen by a rotating provider who has never met you. You are seen by the same physician who manages your full health — someone who already knows whether you are on blood pressure medication, whether you have a penicillin allergy, and whether your recurring UTIs are part of a larger pattern that needs investigation.

How Urgent Care Works at Sina Medical Direct Primary Care
Contact Dr. Ali Directly
Text or call Dr. Ali the moment you are sick or injured. No receptionist, no automated phone tree, no hold music. You reach your physician directly and describe your symptoms. Based on your clinical presentation, Dr. Ali determines whether an in-person or telehealth visit is most appropriate.
Same-Day or Next-Day Appointment
Urgent care at Sina Medical Direct Primary Care does not go on a two-week waiting list. You are seen the same day or the following day. Walk-in availability is available for members during clinic hours — contact Dr. Ali first to confirm same-day slot availability.
Evaluation, Rapid Testing, and Diagnosis
Dr. Ali conducts a thorough clinical evaluation, runs any necessary in-office rapid tests, and provides a clear diagnosis and treatment plan based on your specific presentation and medical history. Prescriptions are written the same day when clinically appropriate.
Follow-Up Until You Are Fully Recovered
Your urgent care visit does not end when the appointment does. Dr. Ali is available by direct message throughout your recovery to answer questions, adjust your treatment if needed, and confirm you are fully recovered before closing the encounter.
Results You Can Expect
Patients who receive urgent care through Sina Medical Direct Primary Care — rather than traditional urgent care clinics or emergency rooms — consistently experience:
The DPC Difference
Why a Direct Primary Care Model Works for Urgent Care
Urgent care requires speed, accessibility, and clinical depth. The traditional system delivers speed — but sacrifices depth and accessibility. Long waits, unknown providers, and fragmented records mean patients get seen but not truly cared for.
Direct Primary Care delivers all three. By removing insurance billing and replacing it with a flat monthly membership, Sina Medical Direct Primary Care gives you same-day access to a physician who already knows you — every time something comes up.
Whether it is a winter flu in January, a UTI on a Friday evening, an ankle sprain on a Saturday morning, or a rash you have been ignoring for a week — your physician is available the same day, anywhere in Illinois, with no extra charge and no waiting room.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is walk-in availability offered?
Yes. Walk-in availability is offered during clinic hours for members. Contact Dr. Ali directly before walking in to confirm same-day slot availability and determine whether an in-person or telehealth visit is most appropriate for your symptoms.
How is this different from a traditional urgent care clinic?
At a traditional urgent care clinic, you see a different provider every visit who has never reviewed your history. At Sina Medical Direct Primary Care, every urgent care visit is managed by the same physician who manages your full health — with your complete medical history already on file, no copay, and direct follow-up built in.
Can I receive urgent care without insurance?
Yes. Sina Medical Direct Primary Care does not require insurance. Urgent care is included in your membership. A one-time visit for non-members is available at $275. Labs are available at 70 to 90 percent off retail pricing regardless of insurance status.
What rapid tests do you offer in-office?
Rapid strep testing, rapid flu testing, and urinalysis are available in-office with results while you wait.
Can I get a same-day prescription?
Yes. When clinically appropriate, Dr. Ali prescribes medication during your urgent care visit the same day — no separate prescription appointment required.
Do you provide return-to-work documentation?
Yes. Return-to-work and return-to-school letters are available same-day as part of your urgent care visit.
What if my condition requires emergency care?
Dr. Ali will identify when a condition requires emergency-level care and coordinate your ER transfer or specialist referral immediately, with your full medical history communicated to the receiving provider.
Can I receive urgent care virtually?
Yes. Many acute conditions are fully evaluable and treatable through secure telehealth available statewide across Illinois. Dr. Ali determines the appropriate visit type based on your symptoms.
How often can I use urgent care as a member?
Unlimited. Every member receives up to 25 in-person visits per year at no extra cost, plus unlimited telehealth visits. Additional in-person visits beyond 25 are available at $25 per visit.
What ages do you treat?
Sina Medical Direct Primary Care provides urgent care for patients age 16 and older across Illinois.
