Get Seen Today — No Waiting Room. No Copay. No Runaround.
You woke up feeling terrible. Your throat is on fire, your ear is throbbing, or you burned yourself cooking and need it looked at properly. The last thing you need is to spend two hours in an urgent care waiting room, pay a $200 copay, and walk out with a five-minute consult from someone who has never met you before.
At Sina Medical Direct Primary Care, acute care visits in Illinois are built into your membership. When something comes up — a sudden fever, a UTI, a skin infection, a sprain — you contact Dr. Ali directly, get seen the same day or next day, and walk away with a real diagnosis, a real treatment plan, and zero copay.
- Same-Day & Next-Day Visits
- No Copays, No Insurance Hassle
- Triple Board-Certified Physician
No waiting. No surprise bills. Just medicine done the right way.
The Problem
Why Acute Care in the Traditional System Fails Patients
Urgent care clinics and emergency rooms were designed for volume, not for you. When you walk in with an illness or injury, the goal is to move you through as fast as possible, hand you a prescription, and get to the next patient.
Common reasons patients end up worse off after traditional acute care:
When you are sick or injured, the system makes you jump through hoops to get basic care. Our model removes every one of those hoops.
Meet Dr. Ali
Dr. Ali is a triple board-certified physician specializing in Internal Medicine, Obesity Medicine, and Lifestyle Medicine, with deep expertise in diagnosing and treating acute illnesses and injuries across all ages. She does not hand you a checklist and send you on your way. She evaluates your full clinical picture — your current symptoms, your medical history, your medications, and your body — before making any decision.
At Sina Medical Direct Primary Care, your acute care visit is guided directly by the same physician who knows your health history, not a rotating staff member seeing you for the first time.
Your acute care plan is built using evidence-based medicine and may include:
Thorough symptom evaluation and physical examination
In-office rapid testing (strep, flu, urinalysis)
Same-day diagnosis and treatment
Prescription management when clinically appropriate
Wound care, suture removal, and minor procedure management
Ear wax removal when indicated
Return-to-work or return-to-school documentation
Follow-up plan with direct physician access until you are fully recovered

How Our Acute Care Process Works
At Sina Medical Direct Primary Care, acute care is designed to get you feeling better as fast as possible, with the safety and thoroughness of physician-led medicine behind every decision.
Contact Dr. Ali Directly Text or call Dr. Ali the moment you feel sick or are dealing with an injury. No receptionist, no phone tree, no hold music. You reach your physician directly.
Same-Day or Next-Day Visit Depending on the urgency of your symptoms, you are seen in person or via secure telehealth the same day or the following day. Acute care does not go on a two-week waiting list.
Diagnosis and Treatment Plan Dr. Ali conducts a thorough evaluation, orders any necessary rapid tests, and builds a clear treatment plan — including prescriptions when clinically appropriate — based on your individual presentation and medical history.
Follow-Up Until You Are Recovered Acute care does not end when the visit ends. Dr. Ali is available by direct message throughout your recovery to answer questions, adjust your treatment if needed, and confirm you are fully back to normal before closing the encounter.

What You Can Expect After an Acute Care Visit
Patients at Sina Medical Direct Primary Care consistently report a different kind of acute care experience. Instead of leaving confused or undertreated, they leave with:
The goal is not just to treat the symptom in front of us. It is to make sure your body is fully recovered and protected against whatever comes next.
Affordable Acute Care Without Insurance Friction
You should not have to choose between paying a $200 copay or suffering through an illness at home.
One urgent care visit elsewhere typically costs $150 to $300 out of pocket before your deductible applies. A full month of Sina Medical Direct Primary Care membership costs less than $100.
Most urgent care clinics charge a separate fee for each visit, each test, and each follow-up. At Sina, all of this is included in your membership.
Traditional emergency rooms charge $1,000 to $3,000 for conditions that should be handled in a primary care setting — a UTI, a skin infection, a sprain. At Sina, these are same-day membership visits.
As of January 1, 2026, the One Big Beautiful Bill Act made Direct Primary Care memberships HSA-eligible. If you have a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP), you can now pay for Sina with pre-tax HSA dollars. At a 24% tax bracket, your effective cost drops to approximately $67 per month — making unlimited acute care access genuinely affordable for every household.
Virtual Acute Care, Anywhere in Illinois
A sick visit does not always require driving to a clinic. Many acute illnesses — UTIs, sinus infections, sore throats, flu symptoms, rashes, and medication questions — can be fully evaluated and treated through a secure telehealth visit with Dr. Ali with a physical location in Frankfort, Illinois.
Through statewide telemedicine available across all of Illinois, you get direct access to your physician from your home, your workplace, or anywhere in the state.
Virtual acute care visits include:
Live video consultation with Dr. Ali
Symptom evaluation and clinical assessment
Same-day prescription when indicated
Lab ordering and follow-up review
Return-to-work documentation when needed
Direct physician messaging throughout recovery
Virtual acute care is ideal for patients who are too unwell to travel, working professionals who cannot take time off mid-day, parents managing sick children at home, and patients anywhere in Illinois who want same-day physician access without the commute.
Our telehealth model means that illness or injury does not have to wait for an open appointment slot.
Benefits of Physician-Led Acute Care
Working with a dedicated physician — rather than a rotating urgent care provider — ensures your acute care is safe, thorough, and connected to your broader health picture.
The DPC Difference
Why a Direct Primary Care Model Works for Acute Care
Direct Primary Care removes every barrier that makes people avoid acute care until it is too late: high copays, long waits, unknown providers, and bills that arrive weeks after the visit.
By replacing insurance billing with a flat monthly membership, Sina Medical Direct Primary Care gives you direct, same-day access to a triple board-certified physician who already knows you — every time something comes up.
This means you deal with illnesses earlier, recover faster, avoid unnecessary emergency room visits, and never face a surprise bill for a sick visit.
Whether you are dealing with a winter flu in January, a UTI on a Friday evening, a sprain on a Saturday morning, or a rash you have been ignoring for a week — you have a physician available the same day, anywhere in Illinois.

Is this different from going to an urgent care clinic?

Yes. Return-to-work and return-to-school letters are available as part of your acute care visit.
